Ardbeg Dolce takes its character from maturation in a mix of classic bourbon barrels and sweet Marsala Dolce casks from Sicily. Rather than simply adding sweetness, the Marsala influence introduces rich notes of stewed fruits, toffee, roasted nuts, and a subtle vinous dryness that adds complexity and structure. Bottled at a generous 47.8% ABV, it promises a bold, richly layered dram with Ardbeg’s unmistakable smoky backbone.
